Basic Computer Skills for Seniors

Tutor: Various Volunteers

The program is designed to give Seniors the opportunity to learn basic computer skills in a small group situation (four students per class). You progress at your own pace for up to one year thus giving you more opportunity to receive one-on-one assistance and to master computer skills.

Beyond Basics for Seniors

Tutor: Various Volunteers

This program is an eight week course covering topics such as Skype, Facebook, Twitter, EBay, downloading programs and basic digital photography. The class has the opportunity to design their course to their particular needs.

Internet Café/Broadband for Seniors

The Computer Room has three Broadband for Seniors computers — two running on Microsoft Vista and one touchscreen computer running on Windows 8. The Internet Café is available for use Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm and there is no charge. Please note: this is not a teaching session. It is assumed you know how to use a computer. Most of the time a volunteer will be on duty taking a class on the other four computers. The Volunteer can assist you but as they are taking a class assistance needs to be minimal.
